Once Upon a Cool Motorcycle Dude by Kevin O'Malley is a different type of story.  In the book, a girl and boy are telling a fairy tale for a project.  However, they cannot agree on a tale to tell, so they create their own.  The girl begins the story about a princess and her ponies.
